External Carpentry
Often over the warmer months we are asked to build decks, pergolas and or light roof extensions, sometimes all three on one project. A fantastic opportunity to absorb some sunshine, not to be missed we say. These are often the structures that extend and transform our living environment from inside to outside with comfort, and in the Irish climate are somewhat essential. We are very mindful that these structures must be designed to last the moist conditions that can quickly deteriorate timber, this is why you would never see us recommend composite decking be built on top of an unprotected timber sub frame even with treated timber, as the sub frame will be rotten in 10 to 15 years while the composite decking has a lifetime gaurantee. These are the options we make sure our customers are aware of when making their decisions on design.
